About Me

My name is Amy Beumer, and I have metastatic breast cancer. I love hiking, traveling, reading, gardening, and spending time with friends, family, and my dog Hermes. After earning my PhD, I spent 15 years studying biology and conducting research in microbiology and teaching. I taught college courses for 13 of those years as an academic.
